Article Retraction

- The Editorial Board of the journal processes appeals and complaints in accordance with the COPE guidelines. Authors can contact the Editor-in-Chief or the Editorial Board directly with their objections and complaints. When needed, an impartial representative is appointed for issues that the Editorial Board cannot resolve internally. The Editor-in-Chief will make the final decision in the decision-making process for objections and complaints. The publisher and editor are always ready to issue corrections, clarifications, retractions and apologies when necessary.
- In accordance with the publication policies of Current Approaches in Psychiatry, the duties and responsibilities of the author(s) and the editorial board during the withdrawal of a study or article are given below.
♦ Authors
- The author(s) has an obligation to cooperate with the journal editor in the retraction process in the event that he/she notices an error or mistake in the pre-checking stage of the manuscript or in a published work. Retraction requests will not be considered for a manuscript that is in the publication phase. Author(s) who wish to withdraw their manuscript outside of the review process or the publication phase are obliged to fill out the withdrawal form and send it to the Editorial Board via e-mail at editor.cap@gmail.com, signed and scanned with the wet signature of each author. You can request the withdrawal form from the editor. The Editorial Board reviews the withdrawal notification and returns within 15 days at the latest.

♦ Editors
- The editorial board has the obligation to initiate an investigation into a published work, a work in early view or a work under review, in case of suspicion of copyright, ethical statement violation or plagiarism. If the editorial board determines that copyright, ethical statement violation or plagiarism has been committed in the work under evaluation as a result of the investigation, it withdraws the work from the evaluation and returns it to the authors by citing the detected situations in detail. If the editorial board determines that copyright infringement and plagiarism have been committed in a published or early view study, it performs the following withdrawal and notification procedures within 15 days at the latest.

The study in which ethical violation is detected;
- The phrase “Withdrawn:” is added at the beginning of the title in the electronic display.
- Instead of the Abstract and Full Text contents in the electronic display, the reasons for the withdrawal of the study, detailed evidence sources, if any, are published together with the notifications of the institutions and organizations to which the author (s) are affiliated.
- The withdrawal notice is announced on the main page of the journal website.
- “Withdrawn.” is added to the table of contents of the electronic and printed copy of the first issue to be published after the withdrawal date: Title of Study” in the table of contents of the electronic and printed copy of the first issue to be published from the date of retraction, and the reasons for retraction and the original citations cited therein are shared with the public and researchers, starting from the first page.
